LEGO Robotics

Welcome to the Austin Creek Elementary School LEGO Robotics webpage!

LEGO Robotics is offered this year as an elective course for upper grade students (5th and 6th grade). It's objective is to introduce Science in a hands-on, fun way. In the LEGO Robotics course students learn how to build and program their robots using the LEGO Mindstorms NXT Educational sets and software application. Grades K-4 are exposed to LEGO robotics building and programming on a one-day seminar.

An introduction to LEGO Robotics is taught from October to December. In January students, willing to learn more and to participate in the Sonoma County Robotics Challenge (SCRC), group in teams and start designing and programming their competition robots. The SCRC 2014 will happen on Saturday, May 3, 2014.
