LEGO Robotics (2012-13)

Welcome to the Austin Creek Elementary School LEGO Robotics webpage!

LEGO Robotics is offered as an elective course for all upper grade students (4th to 6th grade) with the objective of approaching Science in a hands-on, fun way. In the LEGO Robotics course students learn how to build and program their robots using the LEGO Mindstorms NXT Educational sets and software application. Grades K-3 are exposed to LEGO robotics building and programming on a one-day seminar.

An introduction to LEGO Robotics is taught from September to December, 4 lectures per classroom. Mrs. Byrum (4th Grade teacher) will be assisting me. In January students, willing to learn more and to participate in the Sonoma County Robotics Challenge (SCRC), group in teams and start designing and programming their competition robots. The SCRC events usually happens in May.
