LEGO Robotics (2011-12)

Welcome to the Austin Creek Elementary School LEGO Robotics webpage!

LEGO Robotics is offered as a course for both 5th and 6th grade students with the objective of approaching Science in a fun and playful way. In the LEGO Robotics course students learn how to build and program their robots using the LEGO Mindstorms NXT Educational sets and software application. Grades K-4 are exposed to LEGO robotics building and programming on a one-day seminar.

The LEGO Robotics course is taught from September to December. In January, 5th and 6th grade students, willing to participate in the Sonoma County Robotics Challenge (SCRC), group in teams and start designing and programming their competition robots. The SCRC events usually happens in May.
